Aug. 3, 2012 - Wrecker pulls Fuel Truck out of the ditch on Route 585 in Grafton

Story by Paul Bradley

Work continues to clean up a mess made two weeks ago in Grafton.

Early in the evening of August 3rd an oil truck owned by Clark Oil tipped over and spilled around 25-hundred litres of diesel fuel into a brook.

The Department of Environment was immediately notified of the spill and Regional Director Richard Keeley tells us it's too early to tell how long the process will take.

Keeley says his department's main role is to make sure Clark Oil responsibly fixes the problem.

He says these types of accidents are unfortunate.

Keeley says the Department of Environemnt was notified immediately after the accident and were on scene within two hours.

He says the RCMP, DOT, the fire department and Clark Oil employees worked to contain the spill before the DOE arrived..
