Fundraising for a new arena-library complex in Hartland has taken a bit of a hit.
An empty water jugged partly filled with change was recently stolen from the town's library.
Jean Haywood, an employee at the library tells us the water cooler jug was a quarter filled and probably had between $200 and $300.
Haywood says the money was stolen last Thursday night, July 26, during business hours and Haywood says it was "pretty brazen"
She says the staff at the library feel horrible because most of the money had been donated by children and seniors.
The RCMP has not been notified of the theft because the library staff says there is no way to track it.
The library was vandalized the following night when a brick was tossed through a window.
