If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, saying there is something wrong with your computer, hang up.

That's the advice from Sgt. Tammy Ward with the RCMP.

She says they have been receiving calls from people who have had their computers accessed by the scammers.

Sgt. Ward reminds you that Microsoft will not call you at home.
