Members of the District Education Council held their last meeting of the school year and the last meeting as School District 14 on Wednesday, June 27.

Beginning July 1, the district will become part of the new Anglophone West school district.

Dian Lavertu has been the DEC Chair for the past five years.

She says while she'll miss a lot of things, the friendship is one thing she'll miss the most.

Acting superintendent John Tingley is quite confident the district is in good shape as it goes through the changes.

The new district will run from Edmundston to Chipman, east of Fredericton, with the head office being located in Fredericton.

David McTimoney will be the new superintendent of the Anglophone West district.
