No one was injured after a fire Thursday night, June 21, in Florenceville-Bristol.

Close to 20 firefighters responded to an apartment building on the Burnham Road just after 9:30 and spent about two hours on scene.

Florenceville Fire Chief Andrew Cougle says when his crews arrived, there was smoking coming from one of the four apartments.

He says the fire is believed to have started in the kitchen area, however they are continuing their investigation.

Damage was contained to the one unit.

The person living in the damaged unit spent the night with neighbours.
