A fire this past weekend has destroyed a potato house in Perth-Andover.

The blaze, at the McLaughin potato house, began early Sunday morning, May 27.

Crews remained on the scene until 10 a.m.

The Victoria Star reports that the building was completely engulfed when fire crews arrived.

There was minor damage to the siding of two nearby buildings, but firefighters were able to save them.

Early reports from the Fire Marshal's office say the fire is undetermined.
