Hartland Hires Fundraising Firm

Quebec based company to conduct feasibilty study

5/11/2012

A Quebec-based company has been hired to figure out how much money can be raised for a new arena facility in Hartland.

At the regular public meeting on Monday, May 7, council agreed to spend 23-thousand dollars to have BNP Strategies complete an assessment over the next three months.

Mayor Wayne Britton says going on past experiences having an idea of how much money can be raised before committing to a project is important.

Britton says they need to know how much money can be raised before a decision can be made on what project the town can afford.

BNP Strategies has been involved in a number of projects around the province, they helped raise 3.8 million dollars for both the E. & P. Senechal Centre in Grand Falls and a new civic centre in St. Stephen.

Britton says there are a lot of avenues to explore when fundraising for an arena and the management company make sure those avenues aren't missed.
