Shogomoc Bridge ready for use
The Shogomoc Bridge is now safe to cross.
The 220-foot suspension bridge completes the Trans-Canada Trail from the Quebec border to Grand-Bay Westfield.
It is located where the Shogomoc River meets the Mactaquac head pond.
Executive Director of the New Brunswick Trails Council Poul Jorgensen says a few things need to be done to actually finish the structure.
And they have to find new funding for landscaping work.
Jorgensen says an official opening for the Shogomoc Bridge will be held at the Trails Council annual general meeting at the end of October.
