Filming in Victoria, York counties

6/7/2011

A Perth-Andover resident will be making his first attempt at filmmaking.

Clifford Allan Sullivan is set to direct, produce, write and edit two independent horror films called Roaming Beasts of Terror and Satan's Blood Army Unleashed.

The two films will be shot in the Victoria and York County areas.

Production on the films will begin this Sunday, June 12, at Blue Mountain and will be shot back-to-back with a combined budget of 2.5-million dollars, which is coming from a Chicago-based investment company called Cinema Vision.

Sullivan says the movies are comparable to 1950s-style monster movies, and he chose to shoot them in New Brunswick because of the setting.

The current wrap-up date for production is July 8.

Sullivan previously wrote the romance novel Was it Really Love.

Sullivan says he had been writing screenplays for about three years before finding this opportunity.

The films will screen at Fredericton's Silverwave Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival this fall.

Other film festivals in the province may show the films as well.
