10 inches for the cure.

Ten Inches for the Cure is looking for a few good women to donate their hair to Locks of Love. Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that uses their hair donations to create wigs for children suffering from medical hair-loss.

Their goal is simple, ten women who are willing to donate ten inches of hair, in a braid, pig tail or pony tail, this October 1st, the 10th month of this year. Official Woodstock location will be at Eclipse Salon and Spa, or you can have your hair cut at the salon of your choosing. Organizers can provide you with an addressed package to send your locks away.

Colour or perm your hair? No problem! Hair donations can be colour-treated or permed. Unfortunately, bleached hair can not be accepted because the bleach reacts with the wig making process. Each wig takes six to ten pony tails to create, so the more hair the better.

Please join with us in providing a sick child a sense of normality.

For more information, you can find us at

or simply search "Ten Inches for the Cure" on Facebook.
