The German brewery, celebrating its 140th birthday this year, recently decided to pay homage to a different kind of tradition after noticing the similarities between the shape of its beer bottles and the old-school Edison cylinder, which was used to play recorded sound before the advent of the modern platter-style disc. So the company created a bottle that plays music.

Bluesman Gary Clark Jr. was the featured guest Wednesday night in Boston as the Rolling Stones played the 14th stop on their “50 & Counting” arena tour.

Clark joined the band for “I’m Going Down,” as he did previously twice in December – once in Brooklyn and once in New Jersey.

The Stones will play Boston again on Friday before heading to Philadelphia for two dates next week; the North American tour wraps June 24 in Washington.   Just a few more North American dates left for the Stones before they head to England June 29.

This was the 3 rd show in Chicago on the " 50 and Counting" tour.  So far Taj Mahal and Sheryl Crow have joined the Stones in the Windy City.  " As Tears Go By "was originally recorded by Jagger's then-girlfriend Marianne Faithfull, who had a Top 10 hit with the song in 1964. The Stones didn't perform it live until 2005.
