The countdown is on for the installation of the new scoreboard at Shiretown Field.

As we told you last week, crews were expected to install the new board within the next couple of weeks.

Jake Smith, president of the Western Valley Minor Ball Association, has confirmed that the scoreboard will be installed by K-Line Construction on Friday.

Smith tells CJ104 News, the board has been in storage for around three years.

Smith is excited that the new board is wireless.

The scoreboard will be installed by the company at no charge.
