A benefit concert held over weekend has raised over $33,000 dollars for flood relief in Perth-Andover.

Perth-Andover-native Matt Andersen came home on Saturday, April 28, to host a star studded concert dubbed "Let the Waters Rise" featuring Lennie Gallant, Bruce Guthro and Kim Dunn.

Around 1500 people attended the concert and reports indicate the provincial government will match the $33,000  raised.

The proceeds will go to the Red Cross who will distribute the money where it's needed in Perth-Andover.
