The Province's Environment and Local Government Minister says the priority in Perth-Andover is still the recovery.

Bruce Fitch was speaking in response to a working group announced on Tuesday, April 24, which will study possible solutions to flooding problems in the Perth-Andover area.

Fitch tells CJ104 News there are still immediate needs that need taken care of.

In the meantime Fitch says the committee struck to study flooding and solutions will have an extensive mandate.

The province has given the group until the end of August to report back on studies into many ideas have come up which need further investigation.

The study group includes provincial and federal parties, the village of Perth-Andover and Tobique First Nation.
