Former Canada AM Journalist to attend grand opening of Shogomoc Bridge
The Grand Opening of the new suspension bridge across the Shogomoc River will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Executive Director of the New Brunswick Trails Council Poul Jorgensen explains why they felt is was so important to build the 265-foot Shogomoc River Pedestrian Bridge.
Jorgensen says the Shogomoc River Pedestrian Bridge is ready, but both ends of the bridge still need to be landscaped.
Jorgensen says Valerie Pringle, the co-chair of the Trans Canada Trail Foundation will officially open the bridge at the Grand Opening being held at 1 p.m. on the Ritchie Road side of the bridge.
Jorgensen adds that the Grand Opening is being held in conjuction with the N.B. Trails Council's Annual General Meeting.
He says another major topic at the AGM will be the ATV Federation's recent acquisition of many of their trails.
